An accident during a Time Patrol mission brought Potat to a completely different world.
There were no Supreme Kais here, no Gods of Destruction, and none of the other races he knew so well.
There were only beings known as AEONS, along with the factions and peoples scattered throughout the cosmos for profit, for faith, or simply for survival.
Starting from Herta Space Station, the Saiyan began a brand-new journey of discovery.
“I see. You’re saying you lost your memories from before, don’t remember what you originally did, use a magical staff as a weapon, and travel all over the universe collecting special orbs because otherwise the world will be destroyed. At the same time, you’ve also caught the eye of a God of Destruction… Doesn’t that just make you Kakarot from GT?” —Potat
“Huh?” —Stelle
…
Bad at summaries. Dragon Ball x HSR fanfic.
In short, this is the story of a custom-player-character Saiyan from Xenoverse crossing over. Just read and have fun; no need to take the power-scaling hand-waving too seriously.
A violet-gold Time Scroll was clenched in a powerful hand. The next moment, a deep black aura seeped from the rolled edge, spreading outward like mist.
The Time Scroll, which recorded History, was now leaking energy as a warning because some unknown change had occurred within it.
“A change to History on this scale shouldn’t require you to go in person, should it?”
Yet the petite Supreme Kai of Time, watching from the side, was not focused on the scroll itself. Instead, she asked the person holding it in a slightly puzzled tone.
“I’ve got nothing to do anyway. Ever since the last battle with Mechikabura and the others ended, there hasn’t been much work. Even the occasional patrol missions have been handled by the newer recruits. At this point, I really ought to find something to keep myself busy.”
The voice was faintly lazy and relaxed. Its owner was a young man clad in armor that looked both futuristic and retro.
A sharp-featured face, a sturdy build—at first glance, he seemed to be nothing more than a handsome human man with a sturdier build than most.
“Think of it as getting some exercise and unwinding.”
Hearing that, the Supreme Kai of Time merely shrugged, unsurprised.
“Hah… I guess that’s a Saiyan for you. You actually think of something that’s obviously going to involve fighting as relaxation.”
“Come on, it’s not like I’m some battle maniac.”
The Saiyan man held the Time Scroll level in front of him as he replied, beginning to focus and pour energy into it.
“I still like normal ways of relaxing. I’ve just had a little too much of that lately, so I wanted something slightly more exciting.”
The next moment, the Time Scroll began to shine with dazzling light. The space around him gradually turned into a mass of radiance impossible to see through with the naked eye, swallowing his body.
Once the light faded, the man was gone as well.
“Either way, safe travels, Potat.”
After saying words the other party would never hear, the Supreme Kai of Time watched the Saiyan named Potat depart. Then she turned and began walking away from the Time Nest, only to stop before long and mutter to herself while staring into space.
“Come to think of it, what History was he heading to again… ‘The Legendary Super Saiyan Paragus appeared on New Planet Vegeta’? What kind of ridiculous History is that… Oh well. He’ll definitely handle it.”
“After all, he’s the Hero of Time.”
…
The title “Hero of Time” was given to those who saved History.
The Saiyan named Potat had gone through two crossovers.
The first time, as a human, he became a Saiyan who had never originally existed in Universe 7 of the Dragon Ball world.
But that crossover had not given him the chance to make anything of himself.
Because he was soon transported a second time, and became a Time Patroller.
On that path, he had crossed over countless times, walking through all kinds of Histories. And on that road, he had gone far enough, and achieved enough, to become someone within the Time Patrol who unquestionably deserved the title of “Hero of Time”.
And now, he was about to begin yet another new crossing-over.
One that, as expected, should not have involved anything unexpected—merely crossing into “one of countless Histories within the same world.”
Or so it should have been.
…
In the space near The Blue—Herta Space Station.
The megastructure operating in orbital space was now being engulfed by a storm of artillery fire vast enough to blot out the starlight.
It was an offensive launched by the Antimatter Legion, which had reduced many worlds and civilizations throughout the cosmos to ash.
Beneath their silver-gray outer armor, they were filled with antimatter that did not belong to this world. These destroyers, reforged by the War Forge, were laying waste to this stretch of space with their strongest—and only—instinct: destruction.
Judging by scale, the forces currently attacking the space station were likely only a small claw of the Legion, far from comparable to the sky-covering armies it gathered when it resolved to destroy interstellar civilizations.
But when these soldiers, reforged by the War Forge, warped into the space surrounding the station and surrounded it with bombardment—and, for reasons unknown, bypassed the rating system to warp directly inside the station, wreaking destruction and slaughter across its various zones—it was more than enough to spark chaos where screams and cries drowned out the alarms.
At a loss, the researchers fled madly through the chaos.
And the Stellaron Hunters who had caused it all strolled leisurely through that same chaos.
A tall woman with wine-red hair and a cold, severe face calmly poured down a rain of bullets from her twin guns, reducing a squad of Voidrangers to nothing through their own annihilation reactions.
A faint, emotionless smile never left her face.
But the next moment, one that had slipped through the net leaped out from the passage behind her, swinging twin blades formed from antimatter barriers toward her back.
The woman was not unaware of it, but she made no unnecessary reaction.
And just as the twin blades were about to touch her body, the Voidranger’s body dissolved like digital data breaking apart, turning into countless mottled particles before vanishing completely.
“Where did you send that Voidranger?”
“No idea. I just hit put in random coordinates. Do you care where it went?”
If the woman with long wine-red hair at least had some trace of a smile on her face, then the silver-haired girl who spoke next while chewing gum answered the woman’s question with half-lidded eyes, her expression completely cold and uninterested.
“No. I was only curious.”
Seeing that there was nothing left here that could hinder them, the woman put away her guns as she denied the girl’s guess.
“After all, anything Elio didn’t mention isn’t important.”
According to the script, they were to place the Stellaron into a suitable vessel, then allow the script to continue along its predetermined course.
That was their mission.
Aside from the matters specifically instructed before the mission and the confirmed points in time, nothing else mattered.
This was something both Stellaron Hunters believed without question.
Until a certain anomaly stopped them from continuing forward.
A sphere of light appeared in the space station compartment where they currently stood.
Immediately after, as the light faded, a figure appeared within their field of vision.
It was Potat, who had “originally” been meant to carry out a Time Patrol mission and head to New Planet Vegeta.
To the two Stellaron Hunters, however, he was a strange man who had appeared directly in front of them through a method that was clearly not warp travel.
No matter how one looked at it rationally, this was a special event that could not be judged as “ordinary.”
Even so, the silver-haired girl still spoke.
“Just to be safe, Kafka, let me confirm… your prophecy didn’t mention this either, right?”
“Mm. So this isn’t important… probably.”
Only now, whether it was the girl with the indifferent expression or the woman whose smile never reached her eyes, a trace of uncertainty had entered both their voices.
