Special moves it could learn were practically nonexistent—and there was no reason to learn them anyway.

So in most people’s eyes, Beedrill’s role was simple: a physical assassin.

Which made that 45 Special Attack feel completely out of place.

After Mega Evolution, that problem vanished.

Mega Beedrill’s Special Attack dropped from 45 to 15, and the freed 30 points—along with the 100 points granted by Mega Evolution—were poured straight into Attack and Speed.

For an assassin—Attack and Speed were everything.

For this kind of lightning-fast rushdown, Beedrill was beyond familiar.

So Mega Beedrill chained together relentless quick strikes, hammering Thundurus until it could barely respond.

Only then did Lie Ke finally snap out of it.

“Thundurus, break out!”
